Executive Coaching

The worlds of sports and stage have long benefited from coaching as a means of developing the potential of an individual. Now the business world is using this form of intervention to work with management by using a set of skills that allows each person to explore their own approach to solving problems, thereby increasing productivity and developing leadership capability. We can provide fully accredited Executive Coaches to work with your staff to address areas such as strategic planning, goal setting, leadership, team management, career transition, time management etc. The results of effective coaching can be seen in higher levels of performance and productivity, greater job satisfaction, personal growth and career development. Sessions are offered for individuals on the basis of one to one coaching or team coaching.

Coaching is not merely a technique to be wheeled out and rigidly applied in certain prescribed circumstances. It is a way of managing, a way of treating people, a way of thinking, a way of being’. (Whitmore, 1992)

Psychometric Testing

Myers Briggs Type Indicator -MBTI
Psychological type is a theory of personality developed by Swiss psychiatrist Carl G. Jung to explain the normal differences between healthy people. Jung concluded that differences in behaviour resulted from inborn tendencies to use our minds in different ways. As people act on these tendencies they develop patterns of behaviour. The MBTI was widely researched and developed by Katharine Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers over 50 years, and is now a very popular psychometric tool. MBTI is useful for self understanding and development, career choices, relationship counselling, management development, team building, learning styles and relationships with children. It therefore has many uses in the coaching arena.
.
EQi
Emotional Intelligence is a variety of noncognitive abilities, competencies and skills which can influence the ability to succeed in coping with environmental demands. Testing emotional intelligence can help determine the success of an individual in a particular role as it relates to potential for performance. EI can be improved over time and tends to rise steadily with age, as opposed to IQ, which is fixed. Reuven Bar-On developed the EQi, which is a self-reporting questionnaire based on 5 composite scales and 15 sub-scales. It has been found useful in recruitment, retention, succession planning, teambuilding, leadership development, coaching, stress management and a range of other areas.

16PF
The 16PF personality questionnaire measures a set of 16 traits that describe and predict a person's behaviour in a variety of contexts. Interpreted by a qualified practitioner, it aims to provide comprehensive information about an individual's whole personality, revealing potential, confirming capacity to sustain performance in a larger role and helping identify development needs. The 16PF is particularly useful for recruitment & selection purposes when used in addition to interviewing. This questionnaire is also useful for coaching, development and career transition.
